The Uptown Screen is a vital, centrally-located arts complex unlike any other in Calgary. It is used to screen film but also suits a variety of art forms. The total seating capacity of The Uptown Stage is 460.

Rehearsals which take place in the above mentioned time slots will not result in additional charges excepting supervisory fees. Load- in or out times are to be negotiated with the Uptown, and will be supervised by one Uptown staff member at a rate of $25/hr (for a min. 3 hour call).

The Uptown Screen is not equipped with a dressing room. Providing, however, it would not interfere with the Stage, a dressing room could be negotiated.

The client will only use the Uptown Screen Box Office and its contracted agents for manning the box office, selling of tickets provided by client, and collecting of ticket stubs. An additional fee for one door staff at $25 per performance will apply. The maximum number of complimentary tickets is 30 per performance and the Uptown Screen holds the right to six house seats for each performance.

Catering arrangements shall be made through the Uptown and all arrangements with regard to receptions, dinners, luncheons etc. shall be made by permission of the Uptown. Upon request the Uptown can also provide a licensed bar.

A coat check can be made available providing it does not unreasonably interfere with the Uptown Stage. The charge for one front of house staff member will apply at a rate of $15/hr(for a min. 3 hr. call).

Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.

No photographs, recordings, transcripts, or broadcasts are permitted in or from the Uptown Screen without written permission.

Proofs of all signs, tickets, programs or any other printed material shall be provided to the Uptown prior to public display or distribution for approval by the Uptown.
